The challenge
Everyday payments apps can feel slow and opaque, and people rarely know where their money went. A UK product also has to meet strict onboarding and security rules. The app needed to stay simple while handling that properly.

Our approach
We designed every core action to take a single tap and built the app in React Native with TypeScript. Balances come from a double-entry ledger in PostgreSQL, and Open Banking connects users' existing accounts.

One-tap transfers
Send or request money from a contact in one tap, with clear status at every step.

Virtual cards
Create cards for online spending and freeze any of them instantly from the home screen.

Spending insights
Transactions are sorted into categories automatically, so monthly spending is easy to understand.

Built-in KYC
Identity checks happen inside the sign-up flow, with clear guidance when documents need another try.
