01
The challenge
Deliveries depend on matching each order to the right driver quickly, then showing everyone where it is. Partners also need to send orders in and get updates back. All of it has to keep up during busy peaks.
02
Our approach
We built the services in Go on Google Cloud, using Kafka for events and Redis for live driver positions. A GraphQL API serves the apps, while webhooks and a partner SDK serve integrations.
- 01
Order routing
New orders are matched to nearby available drivers based on distance, capacity and current load.
- 02
Driver dispatch
Jobs are offered to drivers in the app, with automatic reassignment if nobody accepts.
- 03
Live tracking
Driver positions stream to customers and operators in near real time from a Redis-backed service.
- 04
Partner webhooks and SDK
Partners create orders through the SDK and receive status updates by webhook.
